Nike x Jacquemus: archival models, Parisian sensibility
Words, SVD. Photos, Jacquemus and Nike.
September 26, 2025.
As we wait for the latest drop, let’s look back at the story between Nike and Jacquemus, and why each release continues to redefine the dialogue between sport and fashion.

Transforming the everyday
Simon Porte Jacquemus grew up in the south of France and moved to Paris at 18 to study at ESMOD. Very quickly, he realized that what was part of his daily life—the Mediterranean, the sun—could become a visual language of its own. In 2009, he launched his eponymous brand, and by 2012 he was presenting collections in Paris that already showcased that recognizable mix of formal simplicity and architectural gestures we now associate with the label.
His rise was swift. In 2015, he was both a finalist and winner of the LVMH Prize, and in the years that followed, his universe expanded—through stores as well as cultural imagination. What explains Jacquemus’ impact on the fashion world is his balance of formal discipline and narrative agility, combined with a sharp intuition for social media and pop culture. The brand has turned intimacy into a global phenomenon, with viral campaigns, shows, and drops, all under a “raw, simple, poetic” aesthetic refined over time. Today, this Parisian fashion house is a solid business and one of the most influential voices of its generation.
The beginning of the collaboration
The first chapter of the collaboration came in June 2022 with a womenswear and accessories capsule (including polo shirts, bucket hats, hoodies, T-shirts, shorts, and bags) and the Nike Air Humara x Jacquemus: the ACG model reinterpreted in a minimal key, with premium materials, a gold mini Swoosh, explicit references to 1990s outdoor culture, and the essential Dri-FIT technology.
In 2023, the duo shifted with the J Force 1 Low LX SP (JF1). Released in white and black, they consolidated the partnership’s concept: respecting the icon while moving it into a sensory space—between fashion object and gear—that made it new.
In 2024, the conversation expanded with the Air Max 1 ’86, reinterpreted with cut-out mudguards, special packaging, and an almost architectural reading of the archival Air model.
Nike x Jacquemus Moon Shoe (Off Noir and University Red)
The next chapter reimagines Bill Bowerman’s original Moon Shoe for the first time in a contemporary key. The new silhouette merges its race-inspired design with a ballet-like modern aesthetic: gathered nylon uppers, Nike Regrind sole, leather Swoosh and heel tab, Jacquemus branding on the tongue, heel, and insole, plus packaging that nods to Blue Ribbon Sports. The Off Noir and University Red colorways will soon be available at SVD.
