Camper x Issey Miyake: the geometry of movement

When two houses that have turned functionality into an art form come together, the result often goes beyond the conventional idea of footwear. The collaboration between Camper and Issey Miyake is a deep dialogue between the Mediterranean tradition of Mallorca and the structural avant-garde of Japan.
A shared vision
Issey Miyake has built a global reputation through a unique ability to manipulate form and volume, always guided by the idea that clothing should enable freedom of movement. This approach was clearly expressed in his recent and acclaimed collaboration with Asics on the Asics Hyper Taping x Issey Miyake, where the concept of biomechanical “taping” merged with a minimalist aesthetic inspired by the anatomy of the foot.
Camper Karst Ballerinas & Karst Finch x Issey Miyake
The new chapter of the collaboration builds on the Karst family, known for its technical, organic outsole inspired by rocky landscapes. In this capsule, Issey Miyake’s creative director Satoshi Kondo reinterprets the silhouette to create two distinct models that combine next-generation materials with a high-fashion aesthetic.
Karst Ballerinas
These technical ballerinas challenge the classic image of dance footwear, transforming it into a piece of urban engineering.
Constructed with technical materials made from recycled PET, they feature a knit upper designed to wrap the foot like a second skin. They include a ReXarge® midsole for enhanced cushioning and a Vibram outsole that ensures traction and durability. The design is completed with an elastic fit that recalls the lightness of traditional ballerinas while introducing a unique architectural strength.
Karst Finch (K101115-001, K101115-003, K101115-004, K201934-001, K201934-005, K201934-006)
The Finch model positions itself as the perfect hybrid between a high-performance sneaker and a designer shoe.
Inspired by the aerodynamic shape of birds (hence the name Finch), these sneakers use a breathable and lightweight technical fabric. The structure is supported by a recycled OrthoLite® insole that provides all-day comfort, while the monochromatic and futuristic aesthetic reflects Miyake’s signature Japanese minimalism. Each pair also includes socks specifically designed to complement the silhouette and personalize the look.
