MM6 by Maison Margiela has landed at SVD, bringing with it a unique vision of conceptual fashion designed for everyday wear.

The MM6 Maison Margiela philosophy

Founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela, Maison Margiela quickly became an icon of avant-garde fashion thanks to its deconstructed approach, collaborative work ethic, and commitment to anonymity as part of the creative process. Originally known as “Line 6”, MM6 emerged in 1997 as a more accessible line that preserved the experimental spirit of the main label while focusing on an urban, practical, and contemporary wardrobe. Rebranded as MM6 Maison Margiela in 2004, the line continues its creative exploration with gender-neutral silhouettes, oversized cuts, and premium materials. Its intent to challenge convention without losing sophistication is further reflected in the brand’s creative direction, which remains anonymous to this day.

A collaborative identity built through form

Over the years, MM6 has strengthened its identity through collaborations that blur the lines between fashion and function: from technical hybrids created with Salomon, such as the XT-4 Mule, X-ALP, and ACS Pro, to reinterpretations of archival footwear with Dr. Martens; from the MM6 Japanese Bag in collaboration with Eastpak—a true functional sculpture—to attitude-filled t-shirts, hoodies, and pants with Supreme.
