The launch of EQT bet on all kinds of athletic disciplines—from the most popular ones like soccer, basketball or running, to more niche sports like rugby, walking or fencing. The adidas EQT Race Walk was the choice of many of the great walkers of the 90s. The prolonged contact with the ground required by walking shaped  the shoes’ technical characteristics, versatile enough to be enjoyed in other contexts too. 

adidas Consortium Equipment Prototype. Some ideas from the adidas Equipment lab were filed away in the archives as prototypes that would never see the light of day. Never? Do you think so? Well, no! The adidas Equipment Prototype is actually based on a 1993 running shoe concept that was kept out of sight. Reinterpreted by designer Yuta Hyakusoku in Herzogenaurach, the place that kept the secret well hidden, the adidas Equipment Prototype is now revealed to everyone.

adidas Consortium Equipment CSG. Through three models, the first generation of adidas Equipment sneakers aimed to meet the essential needs of every runner. Cushion, Support and Guidance were the names that allowed athletes to identify the most suitable model. Cushion for those who needed optimal cushioning, Support for those who wanted more support and Guidance for those who wanted to control the movement of each stride. 

Picking up some ideas, Equipment CSG takes inspiration from them to create a brand-new shoe.
